The GFWC GA Heartland Woman's Club has been serving our communities since 2007 and has a growing membership of dedicated volunteers. The group has provided a strong and integral body of support for the communities of Newton and Rockdale Counties. Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month, August through June. We have started alternating between Rockdale and Newton county locations so check our calendar for exact meeting site.
Our members began working together in 1990 under the banner of the Covington Woman's Club night group. In the summer of 2007, these women voted to found a new club in order for its membership to grow and to expand its area for service to the community. The Heartland Woman's Club was incepted on July 12, 2007.
Our club meetings are a group of women coming together once a month to enjoy each other’s company while discussing the needs of the Newton and Rockdale communities. Our meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. alternating between Newton and Rockdale Counties. We do not meet in July.
Our monthly meetings focus on the needs of the Newton and Rockdale communities and how we can best meet those needs through volunteer service projects. We try to feature guest speakers from our service projects or from our sponsored charities to better inform our members of the organization initiatives, as well as share their expertise and experiences.
Heartland Woman's Club encourages and welcomes guests at our meetings.
